J. B. Henderson Construction's main physical plant houses a sheet metal fabrication shop that custom manufactures ductwork, smoke-removal hoods and exhaust-systems. We are experienced in manufacturing and installing systems of various materials such as galvanized iron, stainless steel, PVC and fiberglass. Our certified welders are qualified in working with all gauges of metal. We are also helping prepare the workers of tomorrow by participating in apprenticeship training programs today.
JBH can operate both as a mechanical contractor or subcontractor in order to fit the customer's needs. On larger projects, we use a Plasma Duct Fitting Machine. Under the supervision of experienced operators, this machine allows for optimal layout of fabrication pieces and precision cuts to within 1/16". The machine is capable of cutting up to 3/8" thick mild steel.
We are familiar with all types of HVAC systems and are experienced fabricators and installers of all major heating and cooling systems in the industry. The sheet metal shop supports customers such as the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque Public Schools, and a micro-electronics customer in Rio Rancho. Recently the sheet metal shop fabricated material for the tool installation ramp at Fab 11X in Rio Rancho. The sheet metal shop has the capacity to produce up to 20,000 pounds of sheet metal monthly.
